The scoring system is how you gauge an applicant if they are a good fit or not.

It is also a quick way to rate the applicants based on your Score Rating Form.

The applicant's score is given to the answers completed during the job application form.

Each question has several points assigned, and some questions could have negative or no points. So the more questions with the right answers the more points mean better applicants.

You have the option to customize the questions and decide on what score to indicate on that specific questions.

First, you need to click on the Job Offers tab inside the Pipehire left menu:

Choose which job offer you wish to edit or customize with your preferred scores.

Click on the pencil icon to edit the questionnaires and the scoring option.

Once you are on the edit page of the job offer form (Form Builder), you can either delete some questions according to your preference or, if not relevant, by clicking the trash bin icon, and should you wish to change the questions, click on the pencil icon to edit.

A right-sided panel will display the options to create/edit questions.

You can create open or close-ended questions.

Then you can change the scoring option according to your company requirements.

Scoring questions is a very straightforward process. We suggest keeping scores between 1 and 0, where 1 is a positive point for the applicant, and 0 is a no point for the applicant.

To start editing the score, you can go to the "Score" box and modify the score according to your needs. Then click on the "save question" buton.

The system will automatically update the score in the form. There's no need to go update the public URL.

Pipehire shows the Best Possible Score Form inside the Form Builder and the Funnel Module, depending on how you have set up your question score.

The best Possible Score can vary depending on the score assigned to each question.

The "Best Possible Score" will be reflected on every applicant who enters the funnel.

Best Possible Score is Color-coded to visually see the best candidates quickly (see image below).

Job applications with many applicants can be difficult to filter, this is why we developed the SRF( Score Rating Form).

This is an easy way to focus your efforts on those applicants who are the best.

When you see applicants in your funnel, you will see three colors depending on the score of each applicant.

A player(Green): The green color means the applicant has obtained 80% to 100% of the possible points in the application form. Also, based on our experience, we considered that A players should provide two+ work references from past jobs.

B Player(Yellow): The yellow color means these applicants have obtained between 50% to 79% of the possible points of the application form. We refer to them as 'B-Players', proceed with caution with these applicants since they don't meet all the position requirements; if you like someone, call and ask more questions to see if they turn to a green color.

C Player(Red): The red color means the applicant has obtained less than 50% of the possible points of the application form. We refer to them as 'C-Players'; you should NOT proceed since they are incomplete applications and don't have the bare minimum requirements of the position. You can archive these applicants.
